We choose glazes carefully, using only glazes that are food safe on surfaces food will touch. Use your artwork just like you would any other dish you bought from a commercial store.

DISHWASHER SAFE
All functional work made at Rosa Pottery is dishwasher safe. It is highly recommended to put your pottery through the dishwasher periodically to ensure no bacterial buildup on crazed surfaces.

MICROWAVE SAFE
All functional work made at Rosa Pottery is microwave safe. Certain glaze patterns and forms will heat up quickly and may be hot to the touch, so take care when removing pottery from the microwave.

OVEN SAFE
All functional work made at Rosa Pottery is technically oven safe when placed in a COLD oven that is then brought up to temperature. Placing a cold piece of pottery into a hot oven can cause it to crack and break from the sudden temperature change. We do not recommend putting ceramic work with thin parts in the oven, as they are much more likely to break than thick pieces.

NOT FOR STOVE TOP OR OPEN FLAME
Nothing made at Rosa Pottery should ever be placed on a stove top or open flame, as this will result in cracks and breakage caused by uneven heating.

NOT FREEZER SAFE
Nothing made at Rosa Pottery is not designed to go into the freezer, and doing so may result in cracks and splitting, especially when filled with a liquid.
