Ashley Thompson

First introduced to pottery at summer camp as a kid, I’ve had one hand in clay and one foot outside in the mud ever since. I’ve taught ceramics to all ages for years, coached running on the rugged Texas trails, facilitated team building for Fortune 500 companies across the country, and been lucky enough to mother two disparate boys. Influenced by the din of the city, the rugged outdoors and an inexplicable obsession to hunt for treasures, I currently employ hand-built techniques to create sculptural and functional pieces out of clay. I am consumed by the endless puzzle-solving opportunities that this medium presents and enjoy pushing its boundaries.
